I admit, I have been that girl who mopes around on Valentine’s Day. I have been that girl who mopes around every day, because once upon a time a good man done her wrong. But the truth is that none of that matters. The holiday is actually pretty fucking cute. Have you seen the Taylor Swift cards? They are positively precious! And there are flowers, and candy, and people doing nice things for each other! Just because I don’t have anyone to share a toothbrush with doesn’t mean I have to hate the people who do— because let’s face it, I get to live my life without having to think about anybody else. Seriously, it is a totally selfish (and blissful) existence. This means that I can eat all the candy, buy all the candy, and do whatever the fuck I want. Not just on February 14th, but on every single day. I’m brilliant, surrounded by good people, happy, and the owner of a pretty decent vibrator. So here’s to being single on Valentine’s Day.
